Lut And her People

Posted on: November 23, 2011

And  “Lut”  When she said to her {Sister}Nation . Do you commit Al¬Fâhishah {opposite sexuality} while you see[debate]”  “Do you practice your lust on wo/men instead of the woman(your right hand one) Nay, but you are a nation who behave senselessly.”27;54-55

And tell them about the guests of Ibrâhim .

When they entered unto her, and said: Salâm !

said: “Indeed! We are afraid of you.”

They said: “Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a girl possessing much knowledge and wisdom.”

said: “Do you give me glad tidings when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?”

They said: “We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing.”

said: “And who despairs of the Mercy of her Lord except those who are astray?”

She said: “What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?”

They said: “We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimûn (criminals)

except the family of Lut (Lot). Them all we are surely going to save.

“Except her wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who left behind.

Then, when the Messengers came unto the family of Lut.

said: “Verily! You are people unknown to me.”

They said: “Nay, we have come to you with that which they have been doubting.

“And we have brought to you the truth and certainly, we tell the truth.

“Then travel in a part of the night with your family, and you go behind them in the rear, and let no one amongst you look back, but go on to where you are ordered.”

And We made known this decree to her, that the root of those was to be cut off in the early morning.

And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing.

said: “Verily! these are my guests, so shame me not.

“And fear Allâh and disgrace me not.”

said: “Did we not forbid you to entertaining any of the ‘Alamîn (Worlds)?”

said: “These are my daughters , if you must act{woman} .”

Verily, by your life , in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly.

So As-Saîhah (awful cry) overtook them at the time of early morrning;

And We turned The upside down and rained down on them stones of baked clay.

Surely! In this are warning, for those who see .

And verily! They were right on the highroad .

Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers.

And the dwellers of the {burning}wood surely were wrong-doers.

So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see.15;51-79

And Lût, when she said to her nation : “Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Alamîn ? “Verily, you practice your lusts on wo/men instead of {right hand one]woman. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds .” And the answer of her people was only that they said: “Drive them out of your town, these are indeed those  who want to be pure ” Then We saved her and her family, except her house holder ; she was of those who left behind 7;80-83

The nation of Lut (Lot) belied the Messengers. When  Lut said to her own  sister  nation: “Will you not fear Allâh and obey Her “Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. “So fear Allâh, keep your duty to Her, and obey me. “No reward do I ask of you for it , my reward is only from the Lord of the ‘Alamîn .

“Go you in unto the fe/males of the ‘Alamîn(worlds) , “And leave The One whom Allâh has created for you to be your mate? Nay, you are a nation  who are addicted” They said: “If you cease not. O Lut (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out”  said: “I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your action . “My Lord’ Save me and my family from what they do.” So We saved her and her family, all, Except an old woman among those who left behind. Then afterward We destroyed the others. And We rained on them a rain . And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. Verily, in this is indeed a warning, yet most of them are not believers. 26;160-174

And verily, Lut (Lot) was one of the Messengers  When We saved her and her family, all, Except an old woman  who was among those who left behind. Then We destroyed the rest .  Verily, you pass by them in the morning. And at night; will you not then reflect? 37;133-138

And Ibrâhim when she said to her people: “Worship Allâh , and fear her, that is better for you if you did but know.  “You worship besides Allâh only idols (images), and you only invent falsehood. Verily, those whom you worship besides Allâh have no power to give you provision, so seek your provision from Allâh , and worship Her , and be grateful to Her. To Her you will be brought back. “And if you deny, then nations before you have denied . And the duty of the Messenger is only to convey  plainly.”

See they not how Allâh originates creation, then repeats it. Verily, that is easy for Allâh.  Say: “Travel in the land and see how originated the creation, and then Allâh will bring forth the creation of the Hereafter . Verily, Allâh is Able to do all things.” She punishes whom She wills, and shows mercy to whom She wills, and to Her you will be returned.  And you cannot escape in the earth or in the heaven. And besides Allâh you have neither any Walî (Protector) nor any Helper.  And those who disbelieve in the Ayât of Allâh and the Meeting with Her, it is they who have no hope of My Mercy, and it is they who will have a painful torment.

So nothing was the answer of  people except that they said: “Kill her or burn her.” Then Allâh saved her from the fire. Verily, in this are indeed signs for a people who believe.

And She said: “You have taken idols  instead of Allâh, The love between you is only in the life of this world, but on the Day of Resurrection, you shall disbelieve some of some others  and curse some of some others, and your abode will be the Fire, and you shall have no adviser .So Lut  believed in her  and said: “I will emigrate for the sake of my Lord. Verily, She is the Cherisher  , and the All-comfort.  29;16-26

And We revealed to her {lot/sara } , Ishâq  and Ya’qûb , and we ordained among her offspring Prophethood and the Book , and We granted her, her reward in this world, and verily, in the End she is indeed among the righteous.29;27

The First Book of Moses, Called Jinesis 19

The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah
1 And there came two{1} angels to Sodom at night; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom{front}: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet {her}them; and she bowed herself with her face toward the ground;
2 and she said, Behold now, my lord, turn in, I pray you, into your servant house{room}, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3 And she pressed upon them{her} greatly; and they{she} turned in unto her, and entered into her house{room}; and she made a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4 But before they lay down, the women of the city, even the woman of Sodom, compassed the house{room} round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5 and they called unto Lot, and said unto her, Where are the woman {angel of light} which came in to thee this night? bring her out unto us, that we may know them{her}.
6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after her[back],
7 and said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known woman; let me, I pray you, bring them{her} out unto you, and do ye to them{each other} as is good in your eyes: only unto this woman do nothing; for therefore {she}came  under the shadow of my roof.
9 And they said, Stand back. And they{she} said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and she will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee than with them{her}. And they{she} pressed sore upon the woman, even Lot, and she came near to break the door{front}.
10 But the women put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
11 And they[she}strike the woman {with voice} that were at the door{front/back} of the house or room with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
12 ¶ And the women said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? sister-in-law, and thy sisters, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
13 for we will destroy this place, because the cry of them{her} is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it.
14 And Lot went out, and spake unto her sisters-in-law, which married her daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But she seemed as one that mocked unto her sisters-in-law.
15 ¶ And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while she lingered, the women laid hold upon her hand, and upon the hand of her wife, and upon the hand of her two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto her: and they/she brought her forth, and set her without the city. 2 Pet. 2.7
17 And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that she said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
19 behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast showed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
20 behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: O, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
21 And she said unto her, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zo’ar. 12
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zo’ar.
24 ¶ Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
25 and she overthrew those cities, Mt. 10.15 ; 11.23, 24 · Lk. 10.12 ; 17.29 · 2 Pet. 2.6 · Jude 7.1–0.1 and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
26 But her wife [Luke 17;32] looked back{side} from behind her[back]{Genesis 18:9}, and she became a pillar of salt{light}.
27 And Abraham get up early in the morning to the place where she stood before the LORD:
28 and she looked toward Sodom{front} and Gomorrah[back], and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
29 ¶ And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when she overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
30 ¶ And Lot went up out of Zo’ar, and dwelt in the mountain, and her two daughters with her; for she feared to dwell in Zo’ar: and she dwelt in a cave, she and her two daughters.
31 And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a woman in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
32 come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with her, that we may preserve seed of our father.{john 8:6-7},surah 94
33 And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and she perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
34 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my mother? let us make her drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with her, that we may preserve seed of our mother.
35 And they made their mother drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with her or{self}; and she perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their mother.
37 And the firstborn bare a girl, and called her name Moab: the same is the mother of the Moabites unto this day.
38 And the younger, she also bare a girl, and called her name Beni–am’mi: the same is the mother of the children of Ammon unto this day.
