salam alikum
Sara i believe in sunnah bcz that is how we understand quran , its said in QUran that Allah has revealed it on Muhammed and he will explain it to u , so its not our skill or job to interpret Quran , or we would end up like bible that every one things differently , today sects differ in detail minor issues , not in divinity and basics , well i agree there is no mention of sahaba names in quran so what does it prove they didnt existed ? they did had names right? and quran chose not to use them but does this prove they were not abu bakar usman omar ali (ra)? no.
so i dont get what is output from this article , they thing ur saying is half true but mixing it with weak logic to make it full false .
quran it self came from sahaba if u know ? and hadith came from sahaba too , just difference is in writting gathering technique , in Quran Allah says many times … Obey Allah and Obey Mohammed , it has 2 points to think … one is both r mentioned separately with the word (and) in between meaning that are 2 separate teachings and both imp , 2nd thing in it is that its said to whole humanity who were at that time and who wud come after his death if u see context of every verse which says atiyullah watiurusul …. meaning Allah is saying sm thing to obey ie Quran word of Allah and other is sunnah example of prophet and both will be kept intact for ever to be followed or allah will not ask us this . there are many points to understand why sunnah is imp i can go on for hours but i want u to think ur self .

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord[Allah], Who has created (all that exists), He has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood) Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, Who has taught (the writing) by the pen. He has taught man that which he knew not.96 Surah Al-Alaq

On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). Nay! Man will be a witness against himself. Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran,) to make haste therewith. It is for Us to collect it and to give you the ability to recite it (the Qurân), And when We have recited it to you , then follow you its (the Qur’ân’s) recital. Then it is for Us (Allâh) to make it clear (to you).75 Surah Al-Qiyama

salam alikum ,thnx for replying , u posted two ayahs i saw them i didnt had time to reply so il do now … both ayah r clear if u read carefully .. sorry to be lengthy

– Surah alaq says that how Allah has taught men thru different ways , given him knowledge , it was 1st verse revealed on Prophet muhammed sw that is why it says to read when he was said to read by angel jibrael and telling that we r teaching u that u knew not …and then to write … its talking about revelation basically but it also emphasizes that humans were created then were given knowledge compared to angels they were superior and as adam was given names, also on earth humans write and read . Tell me does it refer to some thing that Allah teaches us directly without any way between? ….. have u ever heard Allah talking to u to explain verses or teach u quran , if it was the case all kafirs wud have been taught quran , rather it was taught to Muhammed . and thru him we were taught that is the difference between us and prophet or prophets wudnt b needed we wud b taught by our selves .

When we read quran we read it as whole too where needed , in different places Allah has said how he revealed it to us thry jibrael and then to specificaly prophet that means with its understanding cz he conveyed to sahaba , he didnt just recited and sahaba used to ask questions explainations and his own life was description of quran how to implement rules from it , so when allah says i have reaveld quran on u at one place , does it mean he came down to tell him? when we read at other place we see he says we sent quran thru angel .

– in surah al qiyamah …(16. Move not your tongue concerning to make haste therewith.) (17. It is for Us to collect it and that it be recited.) (18. And when We have recited it to you, then follow its recitation.) (19. Then it is for Us to make it clear.)

16:89. And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation.———————–> And We have sent down to you < ————————————— the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.?

It says when we recite to u. Now when did allah recites to us? … the promise to cause the Prophet to memorize was made exclusively for him, it is reasonable to think that the promise to receive an explanation from Allah is also just for him

This is Allah teaching His Messenger how to receive the revelation from the angel. For verily, he (the Prophet ) was rushing in his attempts to grasp the revelation and he would be reciting the revelation with the angel while he was reciting it. Therefore, Allah commanded him that when the angel brings some revelation to him he should just listen. Allah would make sure to collect it in his chest, and He would make it easy for him to recite it in the same way that it was revealed to him. Allah would explain it, interpret it and clarify it for him. So the first phase was gathering it in his chest, the second phase was recitation and the third phase was its explanation and clarification of its meaning

– When god says i have taught u , it means i have taught thru messenger for example here allah says about badr , it was done by prophet but why ALlah says i did ?
[Anfal 8:17] So you did not slay them, but in fact Allah slew them; and O dear Prophet you did not throw when you did throw, but in fact Allah threw; and in order to bestow an excellent reward upon the Muslims; indeed Allah is the All Hearing, the All Knowing.

, Allah didnt come to each person telling about QUran , we have to seek knowledge on our own and allah has made it easy for us , knowledge is a substance , it dsnt get without learning unlike guidance , guidance is in hands of Allah . the explanation and sunnah is part of revelation , its not from Mohammed himself , there were paralel revelations beside quran , its proof is in surah tehrim too that allah told Muhammed about his wife which isnt in quran what he told .
Quran:66:3: And ) when the Prophet () disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives, so when she told it and Allâh made it known to him, he informed part thereof and left a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said: "Who told you this?" He said: "The All-Knower, the All-Aware (Allâh) has told me".

Allah says here we have made it easy , Allah dsnt say we wil make u understand quran ?
Quran:54:17: And We have indeed made the Qur'ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

Quran is not totaly self explainatory , it has 2 basic types , one is lessons dhiker , other is deeper meaning implementation etc , Quran it self says its not self explainatory

– Surah 3 (7. It is He Who has sent down to you the Book. In it are verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow (only) that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah, and seeking its Ta'wil, but none knows its Ta'wil except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; all of it is from our Lord.'' And none receive admonition except men of understanding.) (8. (They say): "Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower.'') (9. "Our Lord! Verily, it is You Who will gather mankind together on the Day about which there is no doubt. Verily, Allah never breaks His Promise.'')

The preservation of Quran is (Quran txt+interpration meaning) bcz today any one can come up with a different meaning of quran and claim it is what Allah meant from certain ayahs and we cant prove them wrong unless we have criteria set by Prophet , that is preservation of quran unlike bible which was corrupted with sereval ideas and ended up changing words on that bases too . bible and torah was not corrupted by txt at start , it was its interpretation and meaning which was hidded and changed , they had bible in there hand but its meaning was lost . cz there wsnt any system to protect it and it was not meant to last forever either but Allah protected quran .

“Verily, We have revealed the Reminder (the Quran) and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)." [Quran 15:9]

“Verily, We have revealed the Reminder (Quran) to you (O Muhammad) so you may explain to the people what has been revealed to them.” [Quran 16:44]

”And the verse (which means): “We have only revealed the book to you (O Muhammad) in order that you clarify for them the things about which they differ.” [Quran 16:64]

Quran was revealed explained implemented at time of Prophet sw and a society was formed as an example from laws of God , can u compare that understanding of prophet muhammed sw to ours today ? , every one can say different about same ayah today

also see the link on my nick for some books

May Allah guide us to straight path

some times straight led astray

Asalamo Alikom Osman bahi it is really waste of time about miner things it do not serve any purpose it create friction within umma yes there is only one Sohaba name mentioned in Quran but if you read there are many many suras are toward Sohaba like char yar and so on Allah may protect Muslim umma from baddies

2:121
Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it – it is they who are the losers.

“Allah has forgiven the Prophet (SAW), the Muhajirun (Muslim emigrants who left their homes and came to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (Muslims of Al-Madinah) who followed him (Muhammad SAW) in the time of distress (Tabuk expedition),”

Sara,

Can you explain from where you get the information given in the brackets ?

1. the Muhajirun (Muslim emigrants who left their homes and came to Al-Madinah)
2. Ansar (Muslims of Al-Madinah)
3. (Muhammad SAW)
4. time of distress (Tabuk expedition)

I will wait for your response.

Thank You

ignore the brackets.

In Quran only one of sahabi زيد بن حارث رضى الله عنه name mention, so why shia, sayiny على ولى الله and, where is امامت in Quran, and where is 12 imams name in Quran, In Quran mention only اطيع الله و اطيع الرسول , shia belive, that امام مهدى born 1350 years before, and he is til in غار هرامن سراء in Iraq, is this a acceptable,,,,,,,, لعنت الله على الكاذبين ,,,,,,

2:120
“And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion. Say, “Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance.”

2:121
Those to whom We have given the Book recite it with its true recital. They [are the ones who] believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it – it is they who are the losers.

2:138
Such is GOD’s system, and whose system is better than GOD’s? “Him alone we worship.”

2:170
“And when they are told, “Follow what God has revealed (Quran),” they say, “We follow only what we found our parents doing.” What if their parents did not understand, and were not guided?”

22:16
And thus have We sent the Qur’an down as verses of clear evidence and because Allah guides whom He intends.

3:31
Proclaim: “If you love GOD, you should follow me.” GOD will then love you, and forgive your sins. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
(follow-to conform to, comply with, or act in accordance with; obey)

5:3
“This day those who disbelieve have despaired of (defeating) your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion( Deen ) and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.”.
(despaired-loss of hope; hopelessness)

5:48
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart – about all those [one] will be questioned.

6:19
Say, “Whose testimony is the greatest?” Say, “GOD’s. He is the witness between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me, to preach it to you and whomever it reaches. Indeed, you bear witness that there are other gods beside GOD.” Say, “I do not testify as you do; there is only one god, and I disown your idolatry.”

6:38
“We did not leave anything out of the book”

17:36
“You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them.”

18:54
“We have cited in this Quran every example for the people, yet the human being is most argumentative.”

20:52
“The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord never errs, nor does He forget.”

22:52
And We did not send before you any messenger or prophet except that when he spoke [or recited], Satan threw into it [some misunderstanding]. But Allah abolishes that which Satan throws in; then Allah makes precise His verses. And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
22:53
[That is] so He may make what Satan throws in a trial for those within whose hearts is disease and those hard of heart. And indeed, the wrongdoers are in extreme dissension.

22:62
That is because Allah is the Truth, and that which they call upon other than Him is falsehood, and because Allah is the Most High, the Grand.

42:21
“Or do they have partners who legislate for them religious laws which were not authorized by God? If it were not for a preordained decree, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed the transgressors shall have a painful punishment.”

55:12
“God is the teacher of Quran.”

68:37-38
“Or do you have some book in which you are studying? Do you have in it whatever you choose?”

”Then we revealed to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming previous scriptures, and superseding them. You shall rule among them in accordance with GOD’s revelations, and do not follow their wishes if they differ from the truth that came to you. For each of you, we have decreed laws and different rites. Had GOD willed, He could have made you one congregation. But He thus puts you to the test through the revelations He has given each of you. You shall compete in righteousness. To GOD is your final destiny – all of you – then He will inform you of everything you had disputed.”

2:151
”(Blessings) such as the sending of a messenger from among you to recite our revelations to you, purify you, teach you the scripture and wisdom, and to teach you what you never knew. ”

22:71
”And they worship besides Allah that for which He has not sent down authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the wrongdoers any helper.”

39:23
”GOD has revealed herein the best Hadith; a book that is consistent, and points out both ways (to Heaven and Hell). The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for GOD’s message. Such is GOD’s guidance; He bestows it upon whoever wills (to be guided). As for those sent astray by GOD, nothing can guide them.”

: most appropriate, useful, or helpful)

39:27
”And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur’an from every [kind of] example – that they might remember.”

39:38
”Say, “Sufficient for me is Allah ; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers.”

39:55
”And follow the best of what was revealed to you from your Lord before the punishment comes upon you suddenly while you do not perceive,”

25:52
”So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive(struggle) against them with the Qur’an a great striving(struggle).”

”And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [ Allah ] with His praise.”

25:73
And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.

39:64
Say, [O Muhammad], “Is it other than Allah that you order me to worship, O ignorant ones?”

4:81
And they say, “[We pledge] obedience.” But when they leave you, a group of them spend the night determining to do other than what you say. But Allah records what they plan by night. So leave them alone and rely upon Allah . And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.

4:89
”They wish you would disbelieve as they disbelieved so you would be alike. So do not take from among them allies until they emigrate for the cause of Allah . ”

4:122
”[It is] the promise of Allah , [which is] truth, and who is more truthful than Allah in statement.”

4:171
O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth.
(excess-exceeding a prescribed or desirable amount.)
